Being a street sweeper in Paris is a pretty poetic job. They’re up in the morning when the city is quiet, and all the lampposts look especially fancy and old, and they can tell who’s awake by the lights in apartment building windows.
The simple blue jackets once worn by Paris’ city workers are the inspiration for our favorite summer season hue. Cuan Hanly, our brand director, picked up the wonderfully worn-in French Blue jacket above on a trip to Florence.

We’re not the only ones who are fans. Bill Cunningham has been wearing one for years. As the legendary New York Times street fashion photographer himself says, “He who seeks beauty will find it.” So you’re in good company when you wear our French Blue Dolan Chino: Parisian street sweepers, Bill Cunningham, and Jack Spade.
